A collective adventure that began in 1955
The story began in 1955 when some winegrowers decided to unite under the same banner. Driven by their desire to reveal this outstanding terroir to the world, they worked together to build an independent and socially responsible Champagne House: Beaumont des Crayères.
To enhance the king of wines, the rose which is the queen of flowers, was chosen as the worthy brand emblem. Purple and crimson roses grow alongside the edges of the vine plots. The purple colour was deliberately chosen because it symbolises charm, nobility and affection.
Pride in a terroir
Beaumont des Crayères is located in the Vallée de la Marne’s hillsides in the commune of Mardeuil. The vineyard is mostly planted with the Meunier varietal. The house has developed a unique know-how in the cultivation of this grape variety. Beaumont des Crayères is committed to preserving the Champagne region’s unique heritage and has long adhered to a sustainable approach to viticulture. Each generation of winegrowers has worked hard to respect and protect their soils, vines and the environment as a whole. This sense of duty to high quality and the passing on of a savoir-aire has now been recognised by the inclusion of the ‘Champagne Hillsides, Houses and Cellars‘ on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Savoir-faire
The ISO 22000 certification was granted to the House in 2014. This standard recognizes its know-how, its commitment to the preservation of its terroir and the traceability of its champagnes. From the Brut Non-intage to the single varietal Vintage, the wines are the proof of the Beaumont des Crayères signature style and know-how. Thus, all the vintage wines and prestige vintages are only made from premium musts, the «coeur de cuvée». A more qualitative fractionation is carried out during the pressing to obtain a unique champagne. This one presents perfect aptitudes for ageing.
